Our History
In 2025, we established Prattical Weighing while exploring the beautiful landscapes of Australia with our family. Our mission has always been to assist individuals in understanding their vehicle weights and compliance standards.
What makes us different
Stu’s biggest attribute is his extensive knowledge of vehicles. Having started his career at just 16 years old, he has spent years working as a mechanic, primarily specialising in Toyotas and Isuzus. His deep understanding of how vehicles operate often sees him helping others troubleshoot car issues—even while out weighing.
Although Stu was always a Toyota man, devoted to his trusty 80 Series LandCruiser, he eventually upgraded to a Nissan Patrol with a GVM upgrade to support a growing family and a larger caravan. More recently, he upgraded again to ensure safe, compliant towing weights for an even bigger van.
Stu is always happy to answer questions and support anyone who needs guidance with their vehicle/van weight concerns.
